Precsion grade equivalent to THK made from steel with a black oxide finish.  Bearings are sealed and lubricated and suitable for ballscrews or lead screws to C7 accuracy grade.

This ballscrew support unit is comprised of a main body, bearing and spacers. The Unit is used on the floating supported end of the ballscrew shaft making it possible to place it in the correct position. The compact size makes it easy to mount and can be used in narrow spaces. Additionally, an adequate amount of grease has already been sealed within the bearing to adjust it to the optimal state for use so that it can be installed immediately on the machine to reduce assembly operation time and improve assembly accuracy and consistency.

Installation

Installing the Support Unit
(1) Install the Fixed End EK Support Unit with the ballscrew shaft.
(2) After inserting the EK Fixed End Support Unit, secure the lock nut using the fastening set piece and
the hexagonal socket-head set screws.
(3) Attach the EF Floating (supported) End Unit to the ballscrew shaft and secure the bearing using the snap ring,
Install the ballscrew assembly to the housing on the supported side.
Note1) Do no disassemble the End Support Unit.
Note2) When inserting the ballscrew shaft to the End Support Unit, take care not to let the oil seal lip turn outward.
Note3) When securing the set piece with a hexagonal socket-head set screw, apply an adhesive to the hexagonal sockethead set screw before tightening it in order to prevent the screw from loosening. If planning to use the product in a harsh environment, it is also necessary to take further measures to prevent other components/parts from loosening.
